This recording offers his Five Sonatas For Brass and Piano, performed by five outstanding brass instrumentalists; Joseph Anderer, french horn, member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Steven Burns, trumpet, winner of many awards including Young Concert Artist Award, Scott Hartman, trombone, a former member of the Empire Brass Quintet, Michelle Bako, alto horn, a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for the past ten years.

David Korevaar, piano, has received top prizes in the Univeristy of Maryland, Willian Kapell International Piano Competition and a special award from the Robert Casadesus Competition for his performance of French Music. He is an outstanding chamber music performer who brings intellectual strength to this recording with his very musical accompaniment to these sonatas.

Paul Hindemith, composer, theorist, violist and conductor is the foremost German composer of his generation. He was a figure central to the music and philosophies of the years between World War I and World War II. Born 1985, he died in 1963.
