When Charles Schlueter retired from the Boston Symphony as the principal trumpet player, he decided to record a CD that would be retrospective of repertoire he performed before he became a professional. The pieces are presented in chronological order in which played them. Schlueter performed all of these solos fifty plus years ago; thus the CD is aptly titled "Songs from the Heart."
